To wrap up our ANYMOSKI:NO summer, we’ll be screening the science fiction thriller “Ex Machina” onJuly 16 at Kronenplatz.

In a gripping blend of suspense and philosophical drama, the film follows Caleb, a young programmer who is invited to a secluded estate to take part in an extraordinary experiment: he is tasked with testing the artificial intelligence Ava for her humanity. What begins as a scientific task quickly evolves into an intense power struggle between man and machine.

In a fascinating yet unsettling way, “Ex Machina” raises questions about consciousness, control, and the limits of artificial intelligence—and about what actually makes us human.
