AR-Mut Eine performative Stadtführung

More than 14 million people in Germany are affected by poverty. You may notice that the queue at the food bank is getting longer. But the people, their social situation and their life stories disappear behind the figures, which are often used as an argument. Too often we just walk past those affected, whose perspective and reality remain alien to us.

The performative city tour AR-Mut is an interdisciplinary performance at the interface of sociology, art and new media. On Königstraße in Stuttgart, one of the longest and most frequented shopping streets in Germany, questions are raised about social inequality and social cohesion.

Together with the audience, the Citizen.KANE.Kollektiv sets off in search of clues. At various stations along Königstraße, artistic interventions meet personal stories, digital gimmicks meet real life and statistics meet destinies.

Poverty is not art.
