Together with the Filmgalerie Phase IV, the ZfBK - Zentrum für Baukultur Sachsen is showing the film "Das große Museum" by Johannes Holzhausen from 2014 as part of the "Architecture in Film" series.

The documentary observes the multifaceted work processes behind the scenes of Vienna's Kunsthistorisches Museum. The chain of interlocking cogs ranges from the director
to the cleaning service, from the transporters to the art historian.
The result is not just a portrait of a cultural institution that has to balance its integrity with budget constraints and competitive pressure.
