Together with the Filmgalerie Phase IV, the ZfBK - Center for Building Culture Saxony is showing the film "Welcome Venice" by Andrea Segre from 2022 as part of the "Architecture in Film" series.

Venice with almost deserted streets: the coronavirus pandemic makes it possible. After the death of one brother, the other two lurk. One continues the family tradition and fishes for crabs, while the other rents out vacation apartments. The house becomes an object of desire and everything escalates step by step. Director Andrea Segre and his cameraman stage an everyday life in Venice, in which a parable about the question arises as if in passing: What distinguishes a house from a property?
