Architektur Sommer: Akademie Mode & Design (AMD) Werkschau 2026

The AMD Hamburg exhibition presents projects, material experiments and free works from the Interior Architecture, Interior Design, Product and Industrial Design and Fashion Design courses. On display are new ideas, unconventional approaches and designs with clear practical relevance.

The AMD Werkschau 2026 opens up a broad view of design and architectural teaching at the Akademie Mode & Design (AMD) Hamburg. Four disciplines come together and make visible how the study areas are developing in the field of tension between space, material and social issues.

Semester projects, prototypes and spatial installations, as well as digital and analog design processes and interdisciplinary collaborations will be presented. The focus is on the question of how design responds to future issues - for example through the use of sustainable materials, the development of adaptable spatial concepts, dealing with social change, collaborative design approaches and new forms of production.

Trade visitors, students, alumni, industry representatives and anyone interested in getting to know the breadth of AMD and talking to teachers and students are invited. The AMD Hamburg sees the exhibition as a contribution to the city's culture of discourse: the open exchange allows visitors to experience the role that design plays at the interface of space, product, fashion and society.
