An evening full of passion, drama and Italian operatic magic: Jonathan Tetelman, one of the most sought-after tenors of his generation, dedicates himself to the great masters of bel canto - Giuseppe Verdi and Giacomo Puccini. Accompanied by the Nordwestdeutsche Philharmonie under Frédéric Chaslin, he presents touching arias, duets and symphonic interludes that cover the entire spectrum of Italian operatic art - from heroic radiance to the finest lyrical intimacy.

The program includes moving scenes from Verdi's masterpieces - from Rodrigo's lyrical aria from "Don Carlo" to the Duke's famous canzone from Rigoletto. Equally impressive are arias and duets from Puccini's operas, including the romance 'Recondita armonia' and the passionate 'E lucevan le stelle' from Tosca as well as the intimate duet from Madama Butterfly.

Between the vocal numbers, symphonic interludes by Verdi and Puccini provide orchestral splendor. The result is an evening that celebrates the great emotions of Italian opera - with a singer who brings them to life with vocal brilliance and emotional depth.
