Book premiere with Stefan Wolle

Since the day the Wall came down, two worlds have collided in Berlin that could hardly have been more different. The capital of the socialist GDR merged with West Berlin, the symbol of the free world. Parallel to the political and economic unification, an explosion of cultural activities, new ideas and creative departures took place. At the same time, economic and social problems such as housing shortages and unemployment increased. It was during this time that the phrase "Berlin is poor but sexy" became a household word. The city became a laboratory for reunification and all its problems. In his new book, historian Dr. Stefan Wolle vividly recounts the history of change from 1990 to the present day.
