The MusikZentrum Hannover and the Center for World Music bring music to Floating Earth. Musicians from different countries, from China to Syria, from Iran to Ukraine, will play their instruments around the Masque Pond. Min Chen plays guzheng, a Chinese zither; Ahed Nofal plays the oud, the Persian lute; Anna and Svitlana Sonyk can be heard with the Ukrainian bandura and vocals; Hesam Asadi comes with Iranian percussion instruments such as the frame drum and daf and the kamanche, a spiked violin.
Edgar Wendt builds a bridge from the world to Lower Saxony with loops and voice. The musical journey then continues with musicians from Hanover: Singer Lara Linn plays vocal techno with her band Monokrom. And Kunstloses Brot bring us art pop somewhere between Falco, Alexander Marcus and Deichkind.
What does it all sound like? Come to the Maschteich!
