Johann Sebastian Bach: The Art of Fugue BWV 1080

After their two solo concerts in Bockhorn and Otterndorf, Masaaki and Masato Suzuki are coming to Grasberg together. This brings together a concentration of Bach expertise that almost suggests that father and son will be tackling the St. Thomas cantor together. And not just any work, but the "Art of Fugue", Bach's musical legacy, which the composer had to leave unfinished when he died. To this day, it establishes Bach's fame as one of the greatest masters in the contrapuntal art of fugue composition. However, he did not note for which instrument he composed this cycle. However, as no adaptations need to be made for keyboard instruments, it is generally assumed today that it is a work for organ, harpsichord or piano. In Bach's most well thought-out work, intellect meets emotion and the interplay between the Suzukis will once again reveal poetic sounds of the deepest expressiveness.
