Exhibition, talks, readings, workshops, performances: from April 18 to 27, ARTBEY will transform the Kunsthalle Lindenthal into a Cologne quarter for culture enthusiasts, artists and creative minds:
On April 25 ,Davina Donaldson and Mariama Koller will read from the anthology "New Daughters of Africa*": the anthology brings together the voices of 30 Black women writers from 25 countries and provides insights into the poetic, combative and visionary creative power of Black women from Africa and the African diaspora. Actress Davina Donaldson and communications scholar Mariama Koller present texts by Zadie Smith and Warshan Shire, among others, and talk about how these voices speak to them personally and why they should be heard here and now.
ARTBEY is a joint project of Cologne-based cultural workers around the think tank BPC Network. The reading will be organized together with the voices of Africa together with the Voices of Africa.
