In her homage to the empowerment of important female singers of color, the versatile singer Isabel Wamig combines various arts into a poetic overall experience. Inspired by Billie Holiday, Josephine Baker, Camilla Williams, Tina Turner and her sisters of yesterday and today, she and her team bring history to life and connect it with the present. Supported by voices from the Ruhr region and from all over the world, the solo artist embarks on an autobiographical journey of self-discovery and the liberation of her voice. A powerful celebration of diversity that, like the Nigerian girl's name Asari, celebrates uniqueness and beauty.
