In 1999, a young band asked the German rock scene in a seemingly contradictory yet self-confident manner: "Did you miss me?". This chutzpah was rewarded by the discerning and dissenting, who have been answering the question with a consistent yes for over 25 years, making ASP the galleon figure of an entire scene. The band with the scarily made-up frontman always went about their work with a good dose of bulkiness and mastered the balancing act between lyrical ambition and playful ease. At the same time, she plays several genres from heavy rock to electro to folk ballad - and ultimately none. Because no pigeonhole fits - too many styles serve the stories published on the equally exciting and courageous concept albums.

One thing is certain: ASP are always an experience on stage - whether at indoor concerts, as headliners at the relevant scene festivals or at major metal events such as Wacken Open Air and Rockharz - and they will prove this again in 2026 after their live break.
