As a further mosaic stone in its success story, the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen was awarded the Gramophone Classical Music Award as "Orchestra of the Year 2023" in October 2023. As this was a public vote, this honor is once again a sign of the enormous esteem in which the Hanseatic city's leading musical ambassador is held by a worldwide fan base. Tarmo Peltokoski has been Principal Guest Conductor of the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen since January 2022. The 23-year-old is currently enjoying a career in the fast lane and recently signed an exclusive contract with Deutsche Grammophon. As a Finn, Tarmo Peltokoski has a very special relationship with the music of his famous compatriot Jean Sibelius, whose special features he is able to reveal in his sixth and seventh symphonies. And Jan Lisiecki is an ideal partner for Beethoven's most beautiful piano concerto. The Canadian pianist with Polish roots is not yet 30 years old and has also long since earned himself a top position in the classical music world - what a promising, top-class line-up!
