The artist Rainer Ehrt and his view of Prussian history are the focus of this presentation by the Graphic Arts Collection.

The graphic artist, cartoonist, painter and sculptor Rainer Ehrt (born 1960) has become known for his satirical and critical works. Prussian history plays a central role in his work, which he approaches ironically and with a wink. On this evening, Rainer Ehrt will use original works to present his latest publication "Preußens Luise", published on the 250th birthday of Luise von Mecklenburg Strelitz (1776 - 1810), the later Prussian queen and wife of Friedrich Wilhelm III (1770 - 1840).

In addition, collection manager Elisabeth Bartel and collection curator Dr. Michael Bischoff will be presenting a new acquisition from the Stadtmuseum Berlin: Rainer Ehrt's drawing "Fontane at the hairdresser's" shows a fictional encounter between the writer Theodor Fontane (1819 - 1898) and the legendary Berlin court hairdresser François Haby (1861 - 1938).
