Dialogic tour through the current special exhibition at the Bochum Mining Museum.
Tisa von der Schulenburg is a contemporary witness to the eventful history of the 20th century. Growing up in the idyllic Mecklenburg region, she experienced both wars, the Weimar Republic between splendor and downfall, the oppression of the National Socialists and the post-war period in West Germany. She loses everything she has, her family and her home - and at times even her hope. But "giving up is not an option". Time and again, she overcomes heavy blows of fate. She draws new strength from crises and especially from her empathetic art: "I agree that my art has a purpose, I want to make an impact at a time when people are helpless and in need of help."
How has Tisa von der Schulenburg managed to lead a meaningful and presumably still happy life?
Let's take a tour of the special exhibition together with coach Verena Schuh and find out what gave the artist strength and what every person can derive from it in order to "say yes to life anyway", like the psychologist Viktor E. Frankl, who survived his imprisonment in four concentration camps.
Verena Schuh has been working as a consultant for more than 10 years and combines coaching, art and practical philosophy in a holistic approach. Her focus is on strengthening resilience and self-efficacy, among other things.
