The Photo Walk will give you new ideas for your photographic practice and introduce you to supposedly familiar things from the museum and Hamburg's cityscape from new and perhaps as yet unknown perspectives. The offer is aimed at anyone who enjoys photography - whether you are a beginner or already a professional! During the four-hour photo walk, the museum and the cityscape will become the setting for observations and your own photography inspired by them! Bring your camera or smartphone and follow the artist Aglaia Konrad on a special exploration tour through the museum - and around the museum! What impression does the museum give? How is it integrated into its surroundings and what could the museum of tomorrow look like? Let's look at the architecture, the art collection, the train tracks and the surrounding parks together through the lenses of our cameras: Where does our gaze go? And how do we develop personal questions and perspectives that become worthy of images? Aglaia Konrad is an Austrian artist and photographer who lives in Brussels. She photographs buildings, urban structures and landscapes not just as motifs, but as spaces that we experience, traverse and help to shape. In 2023, she was awarded the Austrian State Prize for Photography. In the workshop, she invites you to perceive the museum and its surroundings with a sharpened eye for architecture, space and details.
