Gabriele Chiteala and Angelika Pleger, two sisters, discovered a genuine contemporary document in the estate of their mother, who died in 2010: the brigade diary of the HO restaurant "Parkschloss" in Berlin-Buch, where their mother had worked. What sounds sober at first glance turned out to be a treasure trove of bizarre, lovingly observed and sometimes unintentionally funny stories from everyday socialist life. With warmth and humor, the two sisters read a selection of the most entertaining and curious entries from 1972 to 1975, accompanied by musical recordings and live hits from this period, historical classifications and satirical commentaries. A journey through time with personal memories of a country that no longer exists.
