Ausstellung: Der Pakt mit dem Leser

The illustrators from the Illustration course at HAW Hamburg have been curious, searching, discovering and reflecting on the writer Siegfried Lenz and his time.

The result is a book about his life that has now been published by Carlsen-Verlag: a drawn portrait of Lenz that is as multifaceted as the phases and themes of his life that they had to deal with. Among other things, the multi-layered friendship with Helmut Schmidt brought topics such as war and National Socialism, the terror of the RAF during the "German Autumn" and the relationship between politics and literature then and now to the fore.

A series of posters accompanies the publication of the book and can be seen as a special exhibition in the Central Library.
