In the organizer's words:

How can global passenger and freight transportation become climate-neutral? Will trucks, ships and airplanes soon be running on hydrogen or e-fuels? And how can energy efficiency in industry be increased? These are just some of the questions explored in the exhibition. Many scientists are working on new concepts and technologies for the energy transition - especially in the industrial sector. The energy transition is the key to a climate-neutral future without oil and gas.

In the exhibition, you will learn about challenges, solutions and research projects and go on "Mission Energy Transition" with researchers. Various topics show how a secure, affordable and climate-neutral supply of energy and raw materials can work. And what does this have to do with your everyday life? It affects, for example, the production of plastics, fertilizer or reinforced concrete, as well as the power line behind the house.

Media stations and exhibits from the research laboratory provide you with solutions to various challenges of the energy transition. You can find out more about innovative research projects at interactive stations. In videos, scientists talk about their motivation and provide insights into their day-to-day research. About the phanTECHNIKUM

In the phanTECHNIKUM in Wismar, the Technical State Museum of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern presents exhibits from the world of technology relating to the four elements of fire, water, earth and air.

Many treasures from the industrial and technical history of our state await you on 3,500 m². You can touch and try out, play, marvel and study. Experience an interactive adventure through the technological and industrial history, present and future of our federal state.

In addition to exhibitions and events, a major task of the Technical State Museum MV is to preserve the technical history of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern for the future. The museum preserves evidence of the history of the state and the city of Wismar, with a focus on technology. The collection comprises a total of around 6,500 objects.
