With the opening of the group exhibition BE/HOLDING, we are focusing on what holds and carries, supports and strengthens.
Support structures and display elements appear here as independent objects and bodies in spatial and sensual networks of relationships. These structures and elements convey narratives and emotions in both a concrete and metaphorical sense and at the same time define the framework within which these can unfold. The collected works thus question the relationship between artistic practice and curatorial staging and shed light on visible and invisible forms of collaboration that manifest themselves in an exhibition.
Against this background, the artist Sanna Helena Berger will present a new text on the opening evening, reflectingon the transposition of her installation Metod from Stockholm to Lüneburg.
With works by Sanna Helena Berger, Wisrah C. V. da R. Celestino, Ceylan Öztrük and Flavia Trachsler.
The exhibition is curated by Marie-Sophie Dorsch and Lisa Deml and takes place in cooperation with the Kunstraum of the Leuphana University of Lüneburg.
