This Sunday, the Rheinkirche Outdoor Columbarium invites you to an uplifting evening featuring Margarita Cherenkov on saxophone, with Paul Ulrich Imöhl on piano.
With a mix of film ballads, pop gems, jazz, and swing, a soundscape takes shape that’s especially enjoyable in the pleasantly cool columbarium—best enjoyed with a white wine spritzer in hand.
A concert full of lightness, virtuosity, and summer air—but without the heat.

The program “Ballads and More…” is wide-ranging and includes songs from the following genres: pop (e.g., “Feelings,” “Hello”), jazz (e.g., “Blue Moon”), swing (“The Entertainer”), film music (e.g., “Over the Rainbow,” “Tara’s Theme” from *Gone with the Wind*), ABBA (“The Winner Takes It All,” “Thank You for the Music,” etc.). 

Saxophonist Margarita Cherenkova lives and works in Germany and performs internationally as both a soloist and a chamber musician. She completed her studies at the Münster University of Music.

She has performed at venues including the Berlin Philharmonic Hall, the Elbphilharmonie, and the Theater Münster, captivating her audiences with an expressive, colorful tone and an intense stage presence.
