Every summer since 2007, the Stuttgart Ballet has transformed the Upper Palace Gardens into a magical place where classical high culture and summery lightness meet. While people dance in the opera house, thousands enjoy the spectacle from the lawn outside on the Eckensee lake - relaxed on a picnic blanket, with Free admission and right in the heart of the city.

On July 25, 2026, the Stuttgart Ballet celebrates the 20th anniversary of Ballett im Park with a big anniversary gala. The audience can expect a special mix of timeless classics and modern works, presented by outstanding soloists and the entire ensemble. Together, they look back on two decades of unforgettable open-air moments, during which Ballett im Park has become an integral part of Stuttgart's cultural summer.

As always, Sunday belongs to the next generation: on 26 July 2026, the students of the renowned John Cranko School invite you to a matinee - live on the big screen and accompanied by fresh moderation and a lovingly designed supporting program.

In 2026, Ballett im Park will once again be a communal summer experience that will delight dance fans, families, the curious and walkers alike. The Kulturgastronomie Scholz will once again be providing refreshments. Seating is not permitted, but blankets and cushions are expressly welcome. Glass bottles and cans stay at home for safety reasons.

As only a limited number of visitors are allowed on the grounds, admission may be stopped early. The house rules of the Staatstheater Stuttgart apply.
