When his ice floe melts away beneath him, Benny the polar bear builds himself a raft. He sings himself a song because he is the last of his kind. A little uncertain, but not without hope, he sets off in search of a companion. Washed up on the coast of a foreign continent, he meets Polly the chicken. It is just as white as Benny, but apart from that it looks completely different! Because it is helpful, has a cheeky beak and cooks a delicious snail chili, Benny falls in love with the chicken, unconvinced by the differences between them. How is that supposed to work when Polly has feathers and Benny has fur? Is Benny perhaps not the brightest bear in the universe? So Polly takes matters into her own hands and places a personal ad for Benny. Shortly afterwards, they receive a letter from Anni the giraffe and Ute the whale. They invite Benny into their worlds. Curious, he travels to them. But Anni is really big, and there is no end to the savannah - Benny can't run that far and fast when there is suddenly a fire. Ute is friendly, but she is very wet and a bit dirty. Whenever Benny wants to say something, he breathes in water. He can't dive for that long. Somewhat perplexed, Benny and Polly decide to live together as good friends. But then they receive a completely filthy letter from a Brr from Bu!

A play for children aged six and over that shows the power of friendships in the midst of the changing world in a cheerful and melancholy way.
