Arias and instrumental works by George Frideric Handel ("Rinaldo" HWV 7a/7b, "Il trionfo del tempo e del disinganno" HWV 46a and Sonata in B flat major HWV 288), Antonio Vivaldi ("Griselda" RV 718, "Ercole sul Termodonte" RV 710 and Violin Concerto in D major RV 212a), Carl Heinrich Graun ("Britannico" and "Coriolano") and Nicola Antonio Porpora ("Siface, re di Numidia")

Since the Russian soprano Julia Lezhneva celebrated her international breakthrough at the Salzburg Festival in 2010 at the age of just 21 (!), she has long since established herself as one of the leading singers of our time with a focus on the baroque repertoire. Thanks to her stupendous musicality and sophisticated technique, she masters even the most daring coloraturas with perfect form and dreamlike confidence. She confidently plays with the colors of her warmly timbred, youthfully radiant soprano and brings highly virtuosic and intimately soulful arias to new life. On her musical voyage of discovery to Handel, Vivaldi, Graun and Porpora, she is joined by Thibault Noally, long-time concertmaster of Les Musiciens du Louvre, and Les Accents, accomplished fellow musicians at eye level. The French violinist and his ensemble inspire with their enormously lively and exciting interplay full of dynamic nuances, with which they will provide Julia Lezhneva with the perfect sound carpet for her vocal fireworks of emotions.
