Baseballschlägerjahre in Grünau

Leipzig also experienced an increase in racism and violence in the 1990s. Attacks on the night of reunification in October 1990 were followed by deaths from right-wing violence and attacks on accommodation for asylum seekers - some of which were supported by local residents, including in Grünau. Right-wing youths also appropriated youth clubs in Grünau. We go on a walk to places of right-wing appropriation and violence in Grünau in the 90s and 2000s. Followed by a panel discussion with Paul Zschocke (social scientist and expert on right-wing violence in Grünau), Willie Wildgrube (former youth social worker in Grünau) and other contemporary witnesses.
