What happens when one of Germany's most successful game developers pursues his first great love: music. In the case of Baumann Bergmann Pokinsson (BBP), one of the most idiosyncratic formations of the Hamburg music scene is born.

Founded in the smoky scene pubs of St. Pauli, the trio, consisting of Anne Baumann (bass/vocals), Gunnar Bergmann (drums/percussion) and Jan "Poki" Pokinsson (guitar/vocals), started out as an insider tip for satirical singer-songwriter rock. But their journey has taken them far beyond the borders of Hamburg. As the "house band of the games industry", they achieved cult status thanks to Poki's worldwide success with the Deponia series and provided the emotional core for award-winning games titles with their songs. The band on their niche success: "We are the most famous unknown band in the world."

BBP's sound cannot be pigeonholed: It's indie rock with heart and soul, unafraid of silliness, but surprising the next moment with razor-sharp lyrics and melancholic undertones. Poki's unmistakable songwriting, which is characterized by wordplay, absurd everyday observations and a pinch of escapism, meets the solid, energetic foundation of Anne and Gunnar. With their EP "Serviervorschlag abgelehnt" and the upcoming game "Die letzten Tage der Vernunft" (Steam), they once again underline their status as pioneers of a new, multimedia art form in 2026. The core of a BBP concert is the barrier-free, distanceless feeling of togetherness that arises between the band and their listeners and leaves everyone, even people who are there for the first time, with goosebumps.
