Beasts of the Southern Wild
Little Hushpuppy lives in a shack just a stone’s throw away from her strict but loving father. The gravely ill man wants to prepare his daughter for the time when he will no longer be there. Disaster is in the air. From the melting polar ice caps, monsters frozen since time immemorial are emerging from the eternal ice. As harbingers of the apocalypse, they leave a trail of devastation across the land and will soon arrive in the Bathtub—the untamed swamplands of Louisiana—along with the foretold flood that threatens to sweep away Hushpuppy’s home.
