Northern France in the 80s: The rebellious Clotaire, who grew up in a problem district, falls in love with the intrepid Jackie, who comes from a middle-class family. But the great love that flares up between the two teenagers is put to the test by the gang violence in the city. Clotaire joins a criminal gang and is wrongly sentenced to many years in prison for a crime he did not commit.
