THE BEATMASTER-M-ALLSTARS
One musician alone is a singer/songwriter, two are a band! True to the motto of the WHITE STRIPES, ROYAL BLOOD or JOHNOSSI, THE BEATMASTER-M-ALLSTARS enter the musical stage as a duo and are not a bit quiet. On the contrary! You look in vain for a third or even fourth musician in the din. Rock'n'roll reduced to the essentials:
Electric guitar, pounding drums and a good hookline.
What began as a drummer's friendship through touring together is now to be found a few years later in a joint band.
THE BEATMASTER-M-ALLSTARS celebrate brute pop at its finest: "We are ALLSTARS tonight..."
Since 2022, THE BEATMASTER-M-ALLSTARS have expanded their acoustic set-up with an old and a new "Allstar" on bass and drums and also play acoustic shows as a quartet.

SHORTLY BEFORE THE SUN
Kurz vor der Sonne - that's Barby, Ian, Pauli and Rodi. New band, old songs.
Rodi is here on acoustic guitar and vocals. And the songs also come from the acoustic guitar. In 2012, the album Triskaidekaphobie was released under the project name Zweifel. The idea of re-releasing it 13 years later has now given rise to this band. The old album has been re-recorded, two songs have been replaced, some have been rearranged and there are also a few surprises.
Barby is on bass and more than backing vocals, Ian plays all the good melodies on electric and Pauli drives the guys on drums to the right tempo (in 2012 the music was even faster). Apart from the acoustic guitar, it's all punk rock. And perhaps the content. There's less beer and rabble-rousing, but a lot of looking inside people. Deep, painful, personal themes. But somehow still punk.
