The production Beethoven - A Life is far more than a best-of album of his most famous works. Together with a chamber orchestra, band and choir, we find out what life was like for this exceptional artist at Beethoven's side. Get to know who he knew. Listen into his head.

Beethoven's original scores form the biographical thread. They are the musical carpet that is increasingly cut up by the sounds of electric guitars and synthesizers as Beethoven's hearing loss progresses. "When the music fades away, my life fades away too." - Just one of countless oft-quoted statements by Beethoven. Biographically woven into the scenic events, his words provide even more powerful evidence of the genius' fate.

Beethoven - A Life is a historical portrait of an artist for adults and young audiences aged 10 and over, staged and boldly cast with a chamber orchestra, choir, band and a 13-piece ensemble. The play tells the story of Beethoven's work from two musical perspectives in a new and exciting way.
