Beethoven & Mendelssohn - two sons of German Romanticism
The trio with Alexandra Esakova (flute), Seoyoung Lee (violoncello) & Fatima Aliyeva (piano) will perform two milestones of Romantic chamber music: In addition to the serenely relaxed Sonata in A major, op. 69 for cello & piano by Ludwig van Beethoven, Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy's passionate and romantic First Trio in D minor, op. 49, for violin, cello & piano will be heard, here in an authentic arrangement for transverse flute (instead of violin) by the composer. The Afghan pianist Nageeb Gardizi will lead through the program.
However, the three young music students from the HfMT Cologne also have a surprise in store...
