This year finally sees the release of his debut album. "Are You There, Boy?" will be released on October20, 2023. The project is a soulful, musical journeywith stories about a multi-layered character yearning for trueconnections. The album delves into different facets of Beharie'slife, beautifully expressed in 12 captivating tracks, weaving together narratives of identity, queer love, self-awareness, vulnerability, and the poignant experience of loneliness.

Beharie has already received much acclaim for his musicianship in his career thus far. For his second EP "Beharie // Beharie" he won the Spellemann Prize(also referred to as the "Norwegian Grammy"), and for his third EP "Beharie, TheThird" he was nominated for the same award.

GAFFA Magazine says: "The similarities with Frank Ocean, both in voice and melody, are so striking that one is tempted to look into Beharie's family tree. A bold comparison, yes, but you have to reach those heights to properly portray this man's talent."

The praise has led to prestigious engagements. For example, he supported LeonBridges at his Oslo concert, he performed at the official opening of the Norwegian National Museum, and he participated in the government's celebration of Skeivt Kulturår (Year of Queer Culture). Beharie supported a month-long European tour by American songwriter William Fitzsimmons,played the main stage at the prestigious OYA Festival in Oslo and at theSwiss Montreux Jazz Festival.

Beharie continues to explore new and exciting horizons with his ability to express emotion through a warm, soulful and timeless sound. In 2023, he will take the world on an epic musical journey with the release of his highly anticipated debut album, "Are You There, Boy?" and live performances.
