In her solo exhibition Be(Have), Janin Walter examines the unconscious mechanisms that shape human behaviour: How do impulses emerge, and what roles do socialisation, genetics, and neurobiological processes play? Drawing on Robert Sapolsky’s book Behave, she uses painting as a research instrument to trigger spontaneous reactions, disrupt habitual patterns, and make processes visible that lie beyond conscious control. Visitors can expect an immersive, reflective experience that invites them to observe their own responses in real time.
