BELCEA QUARTET
In the organizer's words:
The Belcea Quartet is celebrated worldwide for its interpretations of the classics of the repertoire, including the string quartets of Beethoven and Bartók, which have been recorded in their entirety - not least in the Pierre Boulez Hall, to which the ensemble has been closely associated since its opening more than six years ago. In addition, the musicians:inside also commission compositions time and again. Framed by Bartók's first and Beethoven's twelfth string quartets, they now present a new work by British composer Julian Anderson.
