Turn your back on the big city? Spend a summer living like Heidi in a hut high up in the mountains, herding goats, milking cows and leading a simple life? Katharina Afflerbach dared to do it, several times in fact! She described her experiences in her book "Bergsommer" (Mountain Summer) in such a captivating way that the book ended up on the SPIEGEL bestseller list.

Now the Sauerland native is coming to Hülsenbusch with her reading show in the 3H.

Reading show? Yes, because it is by no means just a reading - among other surprises, there is singing and yodeling between the stories that can be heard as far away as the Swiss Alps.

But of course there are also thoughtful and quiet tones to be heard. After all, working as a dairymaid on an alpine pasture is not always just about mountain romance: milking at a quarter past five, hauling fence posts up the mountain, logging, haymaking and mucking out - Katharina Afflerbach's "office body" first has to get used to the hard work and the cramped conditions in the mountain hut.
