Brute drumming, a massively pressing bass lick and screeching guitars - this is how the hottest postpunk newcomer from Monte Scherbelino - the mountain of rubble from the Second World War on Stuttgart's Birkenkopf - opens his outrageously confident debut album "Scherbenhügel".

BERLIN 2.0, founded in 2021 and featuring the exceptional vocalist Elena Wolf, who is blessed with her sonorous voice, deliver an absolute highlight, under whose wavy surface there is always a raw punk rock base that cannot be denied, which is of course also reflected in the excellent German-language lyrics.

Although it certainly brings back pleasant memories of bands like #XmalDeutschland, II Invasion, EA 80, #Hysterese or the #TerribleFeelings, BERLIN 2.0 masterfully define their very own wistful, disillusioned sound on "Scherbenhügel", which immediately captures you and simply won't let go.
