15 years of Best of Poetry Slam. 15 years of a packed Ernst Deutsch Theater, wild rhymes, hearts that break and are mended right on stage. Since 2011, it’s been the same thing over and over—and yet never quite the same: poems that hit home. Punchlines that land. Silence louder than any applause. No wonder the slam scene itself has said: Germany’s best audience is right here (the trophy has a place of honor in the Kampf der Künste office).
For our anniversary, we’re bringing back the people who made this stage great: the companions you know, the ones you love, the ones you listened to even before you realized just how much words can move you. Plus, the strongest new voices.
