Little people, big pictures: The popular series of events "Picture Book Cinema" takes place once a month and free of charge in the children's area of the Siegburg City Library and is suitable for all children interested in picture books. Places are limited. Registration is possible at the earliest one week before the event via the button that is then activated.

Please register both your child and yourself and have the tickets ready at the entrance (digital or analog)!

In order to enable as many children as possible to visit our picture book cinema, we ask that your children are ideally accompanied by only one person in the children's library. You are welcome to visit our café or browse through our shelves yourself 😉.

And that's what it's all about:

Squirrel is amazed: everything is white overnight! What on earth is that? Luckily, Vogel knows and the two friends have lots of fun in the snow. But the next morning, the white splendor has suddenly disappeared. It's clear to Squirrel: a snow thief has been at work! Together, the two embark on a fun search for clues - and discover the magic of winter in the process.

"The Snow Thief" is another book with squirrel and bird from the popular picture book series by Alice Hemming and Nicola Slater (© 2024 by Bastei Lübbe AG), which teaches children about winter, or at least arouses their interest in it, alongside an entertaining story.

Afterwards, children can play, draw and browse in the library until 5 pm. There are many more stories to discover on our shelves - you can even take them home with a library card.
