Around three years ago, the then 19-year-old Billianne uploaded her version of the Tina Turner classic "The Best". And although - or rather: because - the Canadian had stripped her cover down to the basics, the song immediately went viral and spread rapidly on TikTok. Plucked chords on the guitar and those vocals - that's all it took to captivate her listeners. "The Best" enchants with this simplicity, which makes the quality shine all the more. Billianne's voice is like a fluffy blanket, a warm cup of tea, an experience that embraces you and gives you strength. And that was just the beginning. The young woman began writing her own songs and released her debut EP "The Things We Talk About" last year. In the five coming-of-age stories she tells on it and through this fascinating music, she expresses her musical philosophy in a light-footed way. Billianne's tracks are bathed in nostalgic authenticity. She believes that her deepest truths lie in her songwriting and reveals her thoughts through a warm sound. Complemented by her unique voice, which oscillates between folk and R'n'B. In addition to tens of millions of streams and a million monthly listeners on Spotify, she has gained the attention of her idols such as Taylor Swift, The Lumineers and P!nk, and as a result has toured with Canadian legends such as Serena Ryder, KT Tunstall, the Paper Kites, Tim Baker and Half Moon Run.
