Can you laugh about jazz? Not only can you, you have to - at least when Birgit Breuer takes to the stage. On May 22, we welcome an artist to the "Abendstimmung" who combines the impossible: Top-class singing, razor-sharp wit and the art of improvisation.

One woman, one voice, a whole orchestra

Some need a big band, Birgit Breuer often only needs her faithful companion: "Lucky Loop". With her loop machine, she layers her voice live on stage to create entire carpets of sound and orchestral arrangements.

Between everyday humor and goosebump moments

Her "JäääzzComedy" program is as colourful as life itself. The Frohnau-based artist, who can look back on decades of experience in jazz quartets and improvisational theater, observes everyday life very closely. Whether it's the absurdities of online dating, empty closets or men fishing - Birgit Breuer transforms experiences into "seriously funny" scenes.

Garnished with charming "chatter" and a large portion of self-irony, she ends up doing what she does best with all her talents: She sings her way straight into the hearts of the audience with her warm, expressive voice.
