The Gropiusstadt Community Center invites you to the “Blue Wednesday” open-air event at Lipschitzplatz.
From August 12 to 26, 2026, Lipschitzplatz will once again be transformed every Wednesday evening into an atmospheric open-air venue with lounge chairs and cool drinks. There’s something for every musical taste. At sunset—amidst high-rises and music—spend a perfect summer evening in Gropiusstadt.

Visitors can look forward to a diverse program:

August 12 – Under the title “Rap an der Lippe,” renowned artists from Berlin’s rap scene will come together to bring a fresh sound to Gropiusstadt.
August 19 – The SWAG is an international live hip-hop band, known for their jam sessions at Badehaus Berlin. Expect hip-hop in its purest form, blending elements of soul, jazz, and Afrobeats.
August 26 – The Zentralkapelle Berlin is a renowned amateur symphonic wind orchestra. Look forward to 40 musicians performing a repertoire of film scores, pop hits, and classic Alpine brass band tunes.

This free open-air event offers entertainment for all ages and has a few surprises in store once again this year.
