We open the wormhole to a world of obsidian and enigmatic Techno in mid-July: plunge into a realm of seductive, slippery, black-lustre grooves courtesy of Aurora Halal, Konduku, Sol Ortega, and Polygonia. Hold your breath; we're going for a deep dive!
Aurora Halal, head of the Mutual Dreaming and Sustain-Release imprints, has become a regular visitor at Blitz for all the right reasons. Her trippy blend of dance music ranges from techno, hypnotic acid, electro, and drum & bass, and is just as mythical as it is grounded, sexy, and soothing. Her mixes are engrossing yet lethal, with a characteristic, perilous edge that might best be compared to a long night walk in the foggy woods-spine-tingling, breathtaking, and beautiful. We're delighted to have her return to Blitz with a live set, showcasing a highly concentrated approach to her craft and musical vision.
With an entire sub-label on Nous'klaer Audio dedicated to his work, it's easy to see there are many intriguing facets to Konduku's sound and vision deserving of their own space and platform. The discerning producer and DJ rewires the subliminal states of his listeners with his multifaceted yet minimalistic approach to rhythm and sound. With its intricate and elaborate details, his music is equally suitable for deep listening and drifting away on the dance floor.
Sol Ortega crosses the pond for a stint of shows in Europe. Her grooves are as well-thought-out as they are well-pronounced. Dashing but never rushing, Sol Ortega plays contemporary techno with a refreshing and well needed, nuanced approach to dynamics. Our resident Polygonia is the perfect match to our three international guests. The highly inspired Lindsay Wang runs multiple labels and is an accomplished and revered producer and DJ with her unique take on dubby, glitchy, otherworldly dance music!
