BlöZinger - ZEIT

"ZEIT" is the name of the new and ninth stage program by Robert Blöchl and Roland Penzinger alias "BlöZinger". The title is short, catchy and saves ...? That's right: time. But should one even save time? Isn't time racing inexorably towards infinity anyway? Doesn't it devour everything on its perpetual march - everything except for the dreamers and the mad? So why skimp?

Take your time, take as much as you want, and join BlöZinger on a journey through time, during which the two grand masters of Austrian theater cabaret will thoroughly air out your soul's everyday upholstery. Their travel companions include Simone de Beauvoir, the Petz family and Schrödinger's cat. And from the mists of the past, a tender love story wafts through the decades passing by on stage. Sounds crazy? Sounds like a reverie? Then everything is fine ...

Robert Blöchl and Roland Penzinger, together "BlöZinger", are a real danger. A danger for untrained diaphragms and rusty brains. They have already won the Austrian Cabaret Prize twice for their programs (2013 and 2017), the most prestigious cabaret award in the Alpine republic. The German Cabaret Award followed in 2019. Over the years, they have created no fewer than nine programs together, all of which thrive on the acting finesse with which Blöchl and Penzinger bring their bizarre stage characters to life. The artists change roles at lightning speed and get to the heart of each character so brilliantly that the audience has no choice but to be drawn into the absurdly funny cosmos that BlöZinger create on stage. Although they only use a minimum of props, a complex, imaginative and original world full of humor, melancholy and Austrian "Schmäh" opens up before the audience's inner eye.
