20th Anniversary Edition

At Ruf Records, one milestone follows the next: Just recently, the internationally renowned blues/rock label celebrated its 30th anniversary in grand style, and now it's the turn of its popular live revue Blues Caravan. In 2026, the show will be touring the world for the 20th time. The list of artists who have made the big leap in their careers as part of the Blues Caravan is as long as it is impressive. These include Ana Popovic, Samantha Fish, Aynsley Lister and Joanne Shaw Taylor - to name but a few.

The three headliners of the anniversary edition, who are now following in their footsteps, embody an exciting mix of experience, great emotion and youthful freshness.

California-born Laura Chavez is certainly the best known of the bunch. The gifted guitarist was the driving force in singer Candye Kane's band for many years (Blues Caravan 2005 & 2008) and has played countless concerts alongside Nikki Hill, Vanessa Collier and rock 'n' roll legend Mitch Ryder. Chavez knows how to thrill any audience with her song-serving rhythm guitar and her rousing electric guitar solos. Her excellent reputation in the scene was finally confirmed when she won the Blues Music Award for "Best Instrumentalist - Guitar" in 2023 - the first female guitarist ever to do so. Chavez will be performing as a solo artist for the first time at the Blues Caravan.

Matthew Curry is a real insider tip for anyone who knows their way around the blues and rock scene. The US-American has been performing on North American stages for over a decade, where he delights audiences with his unmistakable sound between blues, rock and Americana. He has shared the stage with such greats as Peter Frampton, the Steve Miller Band, the Doobie Brothers and Blackberry Smoke.

Newcomer to the line-up is Frenchwoman Elise Frank. As the frontwoman of FRANK, which was founded in 2021, she has already performed at renowned music festivals such as the Cognac Blues Passions Festival and the Rory Gallagher International Tribute Festival. Her performances on the upcoming Caravan Tour are eagerly awaited.

Even after 20 years and hundreds of shows, the tried and tested concept of the Blues Caravan remains unchanged. First, each of the three headliners plays a complete live set, before they all perform together in an exciting jam session at the end.
