An unabashed study of physical embarrassment

Embarrassment reveals itself in moments of lost control - when an attempt to hide something fails and something is revealed. It thrives in the gap between what I think of myself, what I think others think of me, and what they actually think.

In BLUSH, it is the dolls that are naked, in the wrong place - and not us. And yet somehow we are too. The Itim Ensemble presents a new production directed by Gony Paz that uses a variety of materials, sculpting techniques, photography and puppet animation to trace the physical sensations and reactions of hiding and revealing. With playful, almost childlike innocence, we explore embarrassment, intimacy and the vulnerability of both the puppet and the puppeteer - who is "hiding" behind it.
