Kim de l'Horizon's multi-award-winning debut novel is the starting point for this play. "Blood Book" is a collection of memories of things that seemed important to our ancestors, an honest struggle with a binary present and a tender dreaming of a place where everything could be different. The production at JES invites you into a garden. The kind of garden we dream of: a place where we can actually meet, where we can listen to each other honestly, argue relentlessly and rewrite stories.

The novel serves as a source of inspiration, a collection of texts and a center for our own search about imprinting, anger, queerness and family.
