Body that Stands is a dance performance that explores the concept of resistance, particularly in terms of resilience. Over the course of the 60-minute piece, the three performers engage in simple physical resistance - not only against each other, but also in relation to the space itself.
In front of a stage with hundreds of wooden bricks, they move in an endless loop of destruction and construction. Images emerge in the shifting landscape - fragments that reflect ruins, battles and aftermath - and conjure up scenes that inevitably recall wars and conflicts, aligning the work with the tensions of our present.
On Sunday, February 8, the workshop Practicing (soft(ly)) resistance the language of Body that Stands will take place from 11:00-15:00. Please register by 12.12.25 by e-mail to ask@smadargoshen.com You can find all information here.
