The world is changing and the music industry is at a turning point. The voice of strong female artists is becoming louder and more colorful, female music creators are being heard and they have a hell of a lot to say. BOWIE is one of them. She is an indie artist through and through and has been making pop music for as long as she can remember. So it's no surprise that VOUGE Germany named her, along with Nina Chuba and Esther Graf, as one of the six most promising up-and-coming female artists of 2023.

As the daughter of a chanson singer and a jazz pianist, BOWIE shifts the horizons of pop music with her music and shines a light far beyond the borders of four-chord songs. Complex melodies, visually stunning lyrics and unusual chords intertwine with trap hi-hats, 808 basslines, brass stabs and synth worlds to create an exciting genre mix of pop, indie and everything that is missing from today's mainstream radio.

BOWIE does what she wants, conceives and edits her music videos herself, designs her own artwork and lets her songs come out as poetic, complex and intricate as they come out of her. If you're looking for references, you might find Regina Spektor and Ashe in her songwriting. When it comes to the sound of her instrumentals, which she creates together with producer artist NAKED CAT, you might associate them with Feist, London Gramma, Ashe or Noga Erez, but when it comes to the question "sounds like?" you have to open a new drawer.

With their debut EP "The Upside Down", BOWIE marked the start of a whole series of songs, most of which were written in Los Angeles. "The Upside Down" is the first part of a concept album that will be released in spring 2024 and, like ying and yang, consists of light and shadow.

BOWIE's songs are disarmingly honest, all stories from her own life, nothing glossed over, nothing omitted or added, everything experienced herself, she sings without mincing her words.
