Inspiring mixture of Klezmer and traditional Jewish folk songs, enriched by clashing jazz chords, virtuosic brass solos, fresh raps, dark techno beats and polyphonic vocals!
MishMosh: "we call it KlezHop". The band MishMosh is known for an exciting blend of klezmer, hip hop and trap. They make traditional klezmer melodies ring with lush brass sections, head-nodding beats and funky grooves.
zimmmt: "because it sounds more beautiful with love". Since 2014, this 25-member vocal ensemble has been mixing up the Berlin a cappella scene. Demanding pieces, some of which are arranged for the choir from their own ranks, are brought to the stage with passion and dedication to groove and make music together.
Both ensembles invite you to a cross-genre musical journey: Over several weeks, MishMosh and zimmmt (directed by Nane Bache) have worked together to fuse the two artistic styles. They have connected musically, pieces have been varied and arranged to now be able to share them with their audience. The motivation of the artists is to meet and make music together in order to discover new things and to learn from each other.
