Brazilian Vibes

In the 'PfeilStyle' series, saxophonist Lukas Pfeil alternately presents his own bands and student ensembles from the music academy.

This evening, the house band is dedicated to Brazilian jazz: bossa nova, samba and partido alto grooves by composers such as Antonio Carlos Jobim, Filó Machado, João Donato and Ivan Lins.

Brazilian guitarist Cristiano Fischer from Porto Alegre provides the authentic flair. The catchy melodies are performed by singer Valentina Krempatić - sometimes with English, sometimes with Portuguese lyrics.
